Restaurant Manager Full Time (The role will involve working shifts, evenings, and weekends) Permanent Deputy General Manager/ Operations Manager
Responsible for: Customer service standards o You will be responsible for the consistent delivery of excellent customer service in line with the standards expected by senior management while anticipating guest’s needs. o You will be responsible for an extremely clean and excellent presentation of all food outlets at all times. o You will be responsible for your staff in the delivery of excellent and consistent customer service. Stock Management o You will be responsible for the training and development of staff towards the delivery of excellent customer service. o You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of stores, fixtures and equipment’s. o You will be responsible for all the stock and storage of stock. o You will be responsible for stock control, including ordering, acceptance, maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation including return of any sub-standard items. o You will be responsible for placing the order, checking and receiving the delivery. o You will be responsible for controlling costs and optimizing profits whist maintaining exceptional standards of service and presentation. Staff Management o You will be responsible for the making of the Rota on time, seeking approval from the operations manager/ deputy general manager and issuing it to staff and payroll. o You will be responsible for the forecasting of the business and manage the staffing in line with the revenue forecasted. o You will be responsible for managing appropriate staffing levels at all times in line with the staffing budget and business requirements.
o You will be responsible for the reporting and management of absences, annual leave, and associated processes of staff in the bar. o You will be responsible for conducting all probationary and appraisal process on time as requested. o You will be responsible for staff attendance, performance, adherence to uniform standards with the view to provide excellent customer service at all times. Cash Handling o You will be responsible for handling cash and end of day checking in line with Hastings policy and procedure. o You will be responsible for float count and float audit as per Hastings policy and procedure. Provide necessary reports when requested. o You will be responsible for all the room service and credit card dockets and follow the relevant procedure. o You will report to senior management on any discrepancies with float count or any cash handling procedure. Working in shifts o You will be required to work in shifts as indicated in the departmental rota. This includes hours of duty falling on statutory or bank holidays and weekends. o You may have to work over the hours indicated as and when necessary to suit the needs of the business. Generic Duties o You will report to the operations manager/ deputy general manager in achieving all your service standards. o To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures. o To ensure the hotel's compliance with all matters relating to licensing laws, Customs and Excise Regulations and all other relevant legislation. o To promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all staff are treated with respect and dignity. o Any other duties as requested.
