USES, FEATURES & BENEFITS ACT 1950 Series Chattahoochee Stone Sealer is deep penetrating a solvent based, non-yellowing clear coating for glazing and sealing stone. It is formulated with an Oil Modified Urethane Resin for added toughness and abrasion resistance. It delivers a warm hue which helps restore the original look of Chattahoochee stone surfaces. Ideal for sealing and glaze coating of both morter and epoxy set stone. The sealer is resistant to pool chemicals, ultra violet light and most household detergents. Packaged to be used ‘as is’ with no thinning needed. ACT Chattahoochee Stone Sealer & Glaze Coat helps prolong the life of Chattahoochee stone decks and walkways. DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND SURFACE PREPARATION Proper preparation will insure maximum adhesion, durability, and uniform coloration, ASTM D4258-83 Specification. The surface must be clean and free of all wax, grease, oil, dirt, acid, mildew, release agents and all other surface contaminants. Failure to remove grease, oil, soap or other contamination will interfere with adhesion of ACT 150. Rinse thoroughly with a power washer. Unpainted concrete surfaces should be mechanically abraded or acid etched before sealing ASTM D4260 Specification. Use ACT 14501 Clean & Etch. Power wash etched area thoroughly and NEUTRALIZE WITH A SOLUTION OF 1 PART HOUSEHOLD AMMONIA AND 20 PARTS CLEAN WATER. Rinse area thoroughly and allow to dry COMPLETELY before sealing. A properly etched surface will have the feel of 120 grit sandpaper. Extremely hard, glossy or alkaline concrete may require repeated etching. To insure maxium adhesion to aged concrte we recommend ACT 19605 Solvent Based Concrete Bonding Primer. Concrete should be at least 30 days old to reduce the possibility of the occurrence of efflorescence. Do not apply to concrete where hydrostatic pressure is present or over 3 lbs. of moisture per 1000 sq. ft. STM F1869-04. Check for a high pH, ASTM D4262 specification. Do not apply to epoxy or polyurethane coatings. Do not thin.

APPLICATION Mix product thoroughly before application. Apply in one thin coat by brush, roller or spray. Avoid heavy application resulting in runs, ponding, flood coating or puddling. Allow 1-2 hours drying time between coats. If relative humidity is high ( > 80 % ), allow an extra period of drying time between coats. One thin coat is recommended depending on the surface being coated to achieve color uniformity. Some surfaces such as inclined driveways, garages, patios, steps etc. may require a slip resistant additive for safety. Add ACT 9105 Series Talon Grip Slip Resistant Additive to the final coat. This product should not be used in place of a non-skid finish. If a non-skid finish is required, use ACT 25545 Slip-Resistant Fine. Coverage is approximately 200 sq. ft. per coat over coarse concrete and 300 sq. ft. per gallon, per coat, over smooth concrete. Do not dilute. Do not apply if the threat of rain is imminent or if the air/ surface temperature is expected to be below 40°F within the first 24 hours of appliction. Full cure is 21 days.
