Volunteer Information Volunteers are an important part of the Horse Show Department and the Colorado State Fair. Without you we would not be able to achieve the things that we do. We want you to be part of the wonderful experience the Horse Show Department has to offer. DUE TO INSURANCE LIABILITIES NO ONE UNDER 14 CAN BE A VOLUNTEER We need help handing out ribbons, awards, setting up obstacles during the events, working entrance and exit gates, and office help for our horse shows. Volunteers must be able to be around animals, dust, and heat. Volunteers do not need experience with horses or livestock. Please make a commitment to the Horse Show Department by reporting to volunteer on time and be ready to work upon your arrival. No call/No shows will not be invited back. We will not call to confirm your attendance.
As a fair Volunteer we ask that you:
Be on time for scheduled duties. Accept the guidance and decisions of the coordinators. Carry out duties in a prompt and reliable manner. Maintain the dignity and integrity of the Colorado State Fair with the public. Maintain smooth working relationships and stay within the bounds of the volunteerism. Honor Confidential Information. DO NOT TALK to the press-as this is the duty of the Fair Manager. Act as a goodwill ambassador to the Fair.
When you come to Volunteer:
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. (No open toe shoes) Remember to check in and check out. Smoking inside buildings is prohibited (this includes vapor Cigarettes as well).
When you volunteer for a show you will receive a gate pass and parking pass for the time you volunteer.
