Keeping our Parish Safe
Our parish is being damaged at every corner. Most of the time it is small things, but these small items ad up to a costly amount when it comes to repairing them. Please keep your eyes open for vandalism being committed, and if you are in a safe area and able to, please turn them in to the police or notify the Parish Office. Also as a reminder, when getting up to receive communion, please take your belongings with you. I have a deep concern for personal items being left on the pews.
At our supermarket, I noticed a woman with four boys and a baby. Her patience was wearing thin as the boys called out, "Mommy! Mommy!" while she tried to shop. Finally, she blurted out, "I don’t want to hear the word mommy for at least ten minutes!" The boys fell silent for a few seconds. Then one tugged on his mother’s dress and said softly, "Excuse me, miss."
Abre mis ojos, ayúdame a ver. Abre mis oídos, ayúdame a oír. Abre mi corazón, ayúdame a amar. Abre mis ojos, ayúdame a ver.
