1. Call to Order The Board Chairman Terry Hodge called the meeting to order at 5:30 P.M. Muhammad Ali, Greer Kimbell, Seth Shepherd, and Morgan Henderson, representing Youth Leadership Rutherford, led the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Proposed Zoning for Stewarts Creek High School Mr. Don Odom, Director of Schools, presented the map showing rezoning for Stewarts Creek High School. The map includes Sunny Side Court. Motion made by Mr. Tackett, seconded by Mr. Nipper, to approve the zoning for Stewarts Creek High School as presented including that the rising juniors and seniors be grandfathered as recommended by the Director of Schools. Motion amended by Mr. Blair, seconded by Ms. Blankenship, to include a limited sibling rule to the grandfather option. Rising freshmen and sophomores would be grandfathered if they have a sibling who is a rising junior or senior already in that school (Blackman High School, Smyrna High School, Riverdale High School or LaVergne High School). Roll Call Vote on Amendment: YES – Wayne Blair, Helen Blankenship, Aaron Holladay, David Nipper, Tim Tackett, Coy Young, and Terry Hodge.
