Movie Book Report Due: March 22, 2017
Dear students/parents, Using the guideline attached the students are going to be creating a Movie Poster for the book. Please make sure to construct the movie poster with the attached guideline. Please help pick an appropriate movie book with your child from the list attached. A book level guideline has been included to help pick books that are on your child’s correct reading level. The book is to be chosen by January 13th. I encourage your child to bring the book to school to read during free time or read to self. The book is to be completed by March 14th and the final project is to be handed in on March 22th with folder. I have gone over this with your child and they know what is expected in order to receive a 100. Please sign the attached sheet with your child stating that you know what is expected of them. “MOVIE POSTER” BOOK REPORT 3rd Quarter Report
For this book report you will be required to create a movie poster based on the theme of the book you have read. You will be graded on your creativity, attention to detail, as well as the information that you provide. The poster will be presented in class and explained. It should look like a movie poster that you see in the theatres—informative and interesting to the viewer. DUE DATE: March 22, 2017 Materials: Poster board, Markers / Colored pencils / Crayons Requirements: 1. Select a book 2. Your poster must contain pictures or original art to represent the theme of your novel. (Do not copy the movie or book cover.) 3. You must have two quotes from the novel that tell something important about the novel. 4. List three “stars” (characters) of the book with pictures and a brief description. Tell us what actor/actress you would have playing the role of each character. 5. Two quotes from fictitious critics about the book. 6. You must have a SHORT (one paragraph) summary of the novel somewhere on the poster board. 7. Your poster must be colorful and creative. 8. You must fill out a book report worksheet, detailing information from the book. (attached) It will be presented to the class. This presentation WILL be a part of your ‘creative’ grade.
