C. Human Facial Proportion
Step 1 - Draw Egg Step 2 - Vertical Line (half of egg) Step 3 - Horizontal Line (half of egg) Step 4 - Eyes Step 5 - Bottom of Nose Step 6 - Bridge of Nose Step 7 - Mouth Step 8 - Hairline Step 9 - Ears Step 10 - Neck
DIRECTIONS FOR DRAWING THE FACE Step 1 - Draw an upside down egg (wider at the top) Step 2 - Draw a vertical Line (half of egg) Step 3 - Draw a horizontal Line (half of egg, You should know have split the egg into 4 parts) Step 4 - Eyes - Along the middle horizontal line, draw the eyes. The space between the eyes should be the same width as the eyes themselves. Step 5 - Bottom of Nose (divide the bottom half of egg into 2 equal parts and draw a horizontal line. The bottom of the nose should be at the point where this line and the vertical line meet Step 6 - Bridge of Nose - Draw a triangle that begins at the middle point of the face where the 4 parts meet. The remaining 2 corners should be no wider than the width of the space between the eyes and meet the line from step 5. Step 7 - Mouth - Divide the space below the nose into 3 equal parts drawing a small line at the top. At the top third, draw the mouth. The mouth should be no wider than the middle of the eyes. This line becomes the middle of the lips. Step 8 - Hairline - Divide the space above the eyes in half and make a horizontal line. This is the top of the hairline. Make a curved line that is no higher than this line that ends at the point where the horizontal line meets the egg. Step 9 - Ears - draw the ears in the space between the horizontal line and the line that shows the bottom of the nose on each side of the outside of the egg. Step 10 - Neck - draw a line that curves inward on both sides of the bottom of the egg that begins near the edge of the mouth on the egg.
In the space below, draw the face while the demonstrator draws the face. LABEL EACH STEP!
D. Independent Practice - using the directions and the help of your group, draw the human face in correct proportion. USE THE WHOLE PAPER!!!
