February 20, 2017; March 24, 2017. 1025 instructional hours are required by the State Board of Education, therefore, if hours are not met, we will consider an extended school day or Saturday school.

Weather Watch: Weather conditions may necessitate the closing of schools. Decisions to close or delay school will be announced by 6 a.m. via:  TCS Automated calling system bar any technological problems with the notification system.  Local television news channels: WXII (NBC) Channel 12, WGHP (FOX) - Channel 8, WFMY (CBS) - Channel 2, and WXVL - Channel 45  TCS Website: www.tcs.k12.nc.us TCS will provide information to parents in a language they can understand about any school programs, services, or activities through translated materials or an interpreter. Trained staff will provide translation and interpretation. Translation services are avaliable district-wide during regular school hours.
