Acceptable Underlayments This flooring can be installed directly over most existing floor coverings, except carpet and cushioned vinyl flooring.
1
Radiant Heated Floors Radiant heated floors must be approved by the manufacturer for the use of their product with resilient vinyl flooring applications. The subfloor temperature should not exceed 85°F (29°C) and the system should be turned off 24 hours prior to and after installation.
Wood underlayment This flooring can be installed over most secure wood underlayments/subfloors. Always fasten underlayment according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. For “special needs” glue down applications (steps, ramps, landings, etc.), it is recommended that underlayments are APA underlayment grade and warranted by the manufacturer. Any failure of the underlayment or flooring as a result of the underlayment is NOT the responsibility of the vinyl click flooring.
Concrete Moisture levels of concrete slabs before, during and after installation must be 8 lbs. or less per 1000 square feet per 24 hours –this is determined by using an anhydrous calcium chloride test according the ASTM F-1869 and pH must be between 5.0 and 9.0; or, if using ASTM F-2170 IN-Situ Probes, should be less than 90% RH (relative humidity). In some case, it may be necessary to adhere the LVT to “Special Needs” areas (steps, ramps, landings, etc.). NOTE: It is the responsibility of the installer to determine that the concrete is acceptable for installation.
INSTALLATION & MAINTENACE INSTRUCTIONS FRANCE COLLECTION Storing and Handling Your Product Before installation, allow your flooring to acclimate to the temperature of the area in which it will be installed for a minimum of 24 hours. Temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C and 29°C) are required in the area before, during and after installation. Cartons should be stacked evenly no more than five high on a flat surface and away from any heating/cooling ducts or direct sunlight.
Before You Install The surface beneath the floor must be sufficiently prepared in advance to guarantee a successful installation of the flooring. Ceramic tile and embossed flooring will require skim coating with a Portland based patch to avoid bottom-up pattern telegraphing Ensure that any low spots in the subfloor greater than 3/16 inch over a 10 lineal foot span are filled with a leveling compound Any existing floor molding must be removed. Removal of wall baseboards is optional as quarter round can be installed to avoid baseboard removal. Undercut doorjamb so an expansion space of ¼ inch is maintained, allowing the LVT to slip under doorjamb/case molding. NOTE: there are warranty exclusions with respect to rolling loads. If you have frequent or heavy rolling conditions, click products can be glued down to help reduced the risk of joint separation from rolling load traffic; however, our warranty still excludes any problems associated with rolling loads.
Starting Installation It is the responsibility of the installer to inspect flooring prior to installing to make sure no visual defects are present. Do not install flooring with visual defects. If you find visible defects, contact your retailer immediately.
2
Subfloor must be clean, smooth, dry and flat before installation. Check the groove and tongue of planks/tiles to ensure they are free of debris or damage.
INSTALLATION & MAINTENACE INSTRUCTIONS FRANCE COLLECTION
For the best appearance, mix planks from two to three cartons from the same production.
When installing this product you may choose your own starting position and direction. Work one plank/tile at a time. As walls are not always straight, be sure to snap a chalk line for your first row to follow. Maintain a ¼” (1/2 cm) expansion space around all walls. Quarter round or baseboard molding will cover this expansion space. IMPORTANT: Maintain the ¼ inch space around cabinets, pipes, toilet flanges and any obstacle in the floor. For installing planks, we recommend staggering the end joints a minimum of 6 inches. For installing tiles, we recommend staggering the end joints a minimum of 3 inches. NOTE: Do not install four corners together, as this will not provide a stable installation.
Clicking Planks / Tiles Together To click the short ends of the plank/tile together, click the short side of the plank/tile at a slight vertical angle into the previous plank short side by pressing it by hand to ensure a fully compressed tight fit. Then click the long end of the plank/tile together, placing long joints together, lifting slightly to engage lock. Rotate downward, clicking together for a tight fit. Be sure to ensure a fully compressed tight fit before installing the next plank/tile. Cut the planks by scoring through the top wear layer with a utility knife then snap across the score. Install adjoining rows one piece at a time as you did the first. Holding the plank/tile at a slight angle, place it against the profile in the first row. Rotate the plank/tile downward to secure the long ends, thus assuring there are no gaps along the joint. The adjoining planks/tiles are aligned by properly matching the end joint against the previous plank/tile end joint at an angle, then engaging the long side at slight angle to fit tightly. Repeat until you reach the final row of material.
3
INSTALLATION & MAINTENACE INSTRUCTIONS FRANCE COLLECTION To install the final row of planks/tiles, you will most likely need to cut them. We recommend doing the following: lay a panel on top of the last row installed. Lay another plank/tile against the edge of the wall. Mark the position of the panel/tile underneath. Cut the plank/tile through the wear layer and snap along the score. Install the last row leaving ample expansion space.
Installing Molding and Transitions
All molding and transition strips need to provide a ¼ inch expansion space to allow expansion and contraction of the subfloor. Ensure moldings and transition strips will not pinch the flooring.
Never allow nails or screws to enter into the LVT flooring or the expansion zone around the flooring perimeter, as this would prevent proper expansion and contraction of the structure and flooring.
Installing on Treads & Risers Glue-down installation method is required on all treads and risers. Apply the adhesive following the manufacturer’s instructions. Install the riser after installing the tread. Install stair nose moldings afterwards to protect the edge of the LVT.
Installation in areas with Sustained Direct Sunlight Temperatures should be maintained in a home environment not to exceed 85 degrees F. In cases where the flooring is in direct sunlight for much of the day (Sunrooms, etc.) it is recommended that the planks/tiles be glued down in those spots/areas. The planks are still clicked together as per the floating installation instructions, but an approved Luxury Vinyl flooring adhesive should be used in small direct-sun areas as needed. Be sure to follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions, including correct trowel size.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SANDY MOUNTAIN & LOWLANDS COLLECTIONS Site Conditions The following should be observed to ensure Lansfield Flooring Collection is ready for installation: 1. Approved adhesive should be stored onsite for at least 24 hours prior to installation. This allows the flooring to be acclimatized properly. Ideally the cartons should be unstacked. 2. Room temperature should be kept between 65F (18C) and 75F (24C) for 48 hours before, during and after installation. 3. Arrows on back of tile should all be pointing in the same direction.
Subfloor Preparation 1. Moisture Testing – Follow ASTM F‐710 “Standard Practice for Preparing Concrete Floors to Receive Resilient Flooring”. This would include determining Moisture Levels, Relative Humidity and pH levels – observe following: a. ASTM F‐1869, Anhydrous Calcium Chloride test for moisture levels – not to exceed 5 lbs/1,000 sq ft/24 hours. b. ASTM F‐2170, Relative Humidity (RH) test for moisture levels – not to exceed 75% RH. c. ASTM‐F‐270, pH levels (test procedure 5.3.1) – readings should be between 8 and 10. Note: The ASTM recommended test frequency is 3 measures for the first 100 sq ft and 1 for each additional 1,000 sq ft. Note: It is the flooring contractor’s responsibility to ensure that there is not excessive moisture in the concrete and that it will not increase at a future date above the recommended levels. We are not responsible for hydrostatic pressure that may occur in the future. 2. ASTM F‐1482 “Standard Practice for Installation and Preparation of Panel‐Type Underlayment to Receive Resilient Flooring” guidelines should be followed for porous surfaces. 3. For non‐porous follow ASTM F‐710 guidelines. 4. Ensure the concrete floor is smooth and level. All cracks, voids and undulations must be repaired using a high strength Portland cement‐based patching material. Ensure saw cuts are carefully cleaned. 5. Do not install flooring over expansion joints. 6. All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, paint, oil, sealers and curing compounds 7. Never use chemical adhesive removal product (chemical abatement products). 6
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SANDY MOUNTAIN & LOWLANDS COLLECTIONS Installation 1. Thoroughly inspect all material prior to positioning into the adhesive. It is Lansfield Flooring Collection’s policy that no labour will be paid for visual defects. 2. Lansfield Flooring Collection is compatible with many vinyl backed adhesives but suitability of adhesive is the responsibility of the flooring contractor. Please contact Lansfield Flooring Collection prior to installation to ensure compatibility. 3. For best appearance find the center of the room by marking vertical and horizontal lines at the center of the walls. Check squareness of the marked lines then begin to work from the center outwards. 4. Be sure to follow the recommended working time from the adhesive manufacturer. Never spread more adhesive that can be installed within this working time.
Floor Protection and Initial Maintenance 1. After installation use protection such as Kraft paper or a layer of plywood sheets. Leave until the work of all trades has been completed. 2. Do not start any maintenance procedures for a minimum of 5 days after installation. 3. Never, at any time, flood the floor with water or maintenance solutions. 4. Refer to Maintenance instructions for specific details.
Warning: Removal of Old Flooring Do not sand, dry sweep, dry scrape, saw, drill, bead blast, pulverize or mechanically chip existing resilient flooring, paint, lining felt, asphaltic cutback adhesives, or other adhesives as these products may contain asbestos fibers or crystalline silica. Regulations may require that the material be tested to determine asbestos content. Always consult the Resilient Floor Covering Institute’s recommendations for removal of existing resilient floor coverings

Refer to the adhesive manufacturer’s guidelines. ACCLIMATION: The product boxes should be opened and kept in the area to be installed in proper indoor temperature for 48 hours prior to installation. The temperature must be kept between 65˚ and 80˚F before, during and after the installation for at least 48 hours. The jobsite must be cleaned and prepared prior to starting the installation. All patch work and preparation to the subfloor must be done and allowed to dry prior to starting the installation. Check cartons and confirm that the product is correct and has the same batch and lot number. If using a different batch or lot number minimize shade variationbymixingproduct from several boxes. If the product looks incorrect stop the installation immediately and call your local retailer.
PRE-INSTALLATION SUBFLOOR REQUIREMENTS Proper subfloor preparation and suitable underlayment installation is essential for a troublefree job. Uneven or rough subfloor surfaces will show through (or telegraph) to the surface of this product resulting in an unsightly surface and can make high spots more susceptible to excessive wear. Correct the subfloor imperfections and ensure that the floor is level before you begin installing this product. WOOD SUBFLOORS -Wood subfloors must be rigid and suspended at least 18” above the ground with adequate cross ventilation. Crawl space ground must be covered with a suitable vapor barrier. Do not install this product over a wood subfloor that is directly on top of a concrete substrate or sleeper system.
8
INSTALLATION & MAINTENACE INSTRUCTIONS PARIS COLLECTION The approved subfloor should provide a smooth and even surface for this product. Do not install this product over particle board, chipboard, construction grade plywood, luaun plywood, hardboard, or flakeboard. Wood subfloors should be dimensionally stable, and be smooth and fully sanded so the graining or texturing will not show through. Wood subfloors should be free from any surface components that may cause staining such as plastic fillers, marking inks, sealers, etc. Wood subfloors should be of uniform density, porosity and thickness. Subfloor panels should be installed with the face grain running across the joists. Panels should be lightly butted against each other, not forced tight. End joints of the panels should be offset at least 16”. CONCRETE SUBFLOORS –Concrete subfloors must be dry, smooth and free from dust, dirt, solvent, paint, wax, grease, oil, asphalt sealing compounds and other extraneous materials. The surface must be hard and dense and free from powder or flaking. New concrete slabs must be allowed to dry completely prior to beginning the installation of this product, which take at least 6 weeks. Curing agents, surface hardeners and other additives may cause adhesive bond failure. All concrete subfloors must be checked for moisture and alkalinity before installing this product. Do not install over any subfloor with moisture emissions higher than 5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. per 24 hours per a calcium chloride test. As with wood subfloors, all holes, grooves, expansion joints, and other depressions must be filled with a latex underlayment compound and smoothed. Concrete floors with a radiant heating system are satisfactory, provided the temperature of the floor does not exceed 80°F at any point. The heating system should be turned on to eliminate residual moisture. EXISTING RESILIENT FLOOR COVERING –This product is not approved over existing resilient floor covering. WARNING: Do not sand, dry scrape, bead blast or mechanically pulverize any existing resilient flooring, backing or lining felt. These products may contain asbestos fibers that are not readily identifiable. The inhalation of asbestos dust may cause cancer or other serious bodily harm. The final responsibility lies with the installer for approving the condition of the subfloor and its impact on the final look of this product.

INSTALLATION & MAINTENACE INSTRUCTIONS PARIS COLLECTION GLUE-DOWN INSTALLATION Use approved flooring adhesive for glue-down Luxury vinyl flooring planks(wet-set)or tiles (Drytac set), and follow adhesive manufacturer’s recommendations for trowel size and application. Snap a chalk line to divide the room into 4 sections. Begin applying adhesive at the corner of intersection of chalk lines in the middle of room. Wet Set Adhesive(All LV Planks): Spread the adhesive in a thin even coat one section at a time. Each section must be no larger than an area that can be covered with flooring by the installer in approximately 20 minutes under normal conditions. A few minutes after spreading, install the planks while the adhesive is still wet(before it skims over or dries). Position the plank firmly in adhesive without sliding and periodically check to ensure at least 90% of the adhesive pattern has transferred to the back of the tile. Use a large tile cutter or score with a knife and snap to cut for fitting around the perimeter of the room. Dry-Tac Set (All LV Tiles): Spread the adhesive in a thin even coat. Allow adhesive to dry until it changes color and will not transfer to skin when touched, and adhesive is extremely tacky. Lay tile into dry adhesive positioning carefully because it will be difficult to slide the tile. Roll the floor upon completing with a 100 lb three section roller. Re-roll the entire floor after one or two hours. Remove any excess adhesive immediately. Install wood or vinyl shoe/cove moldings along the walls, cabinet toe kicks, etc. Install transition moldings and caulk along tubs, toilets, etc. Do not wash or treat the floor for a minimum of 48 hours after installation. After 48 hours, sweep or mop to remove residual surface dirt.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE Preventative Maintenance calls for clean protective mats in front of any doors leading to the outside. This helps limit the amount of sand and grit from getting on to your vinyl floors. Install proper floor protectors under furniture legs used on vinyl flooring. Protectors will allow chairs to move easily over the floor without scuffing or scratching. To keep your floor looking its best, dust mop or vacuum your floor frequently. Do not use household or flooring soaps of any kind as this may cause the floor to become slick, or dull the finish. To avoid scratches, only use vacuums with rubber wheels.
10
INSTALLATION & MAINTENACE INSTRUCTIONS PARIS COLLECTION Shoe marks and scuffs can be removed by spot cleaning with a non-abrasive all-purpose cleaner and a non-abrasive scrubbing pad. If accidental deep scratches occur then it might be necessary to replace individual planks. Always retain some extra product for this instance. Avoid moving heavy furniture on to a newly installed floor for at least 24 hours.

product is also not to be installed in areas that have a risk of flooding such as saunas or outdoor areas. ● If this flooring is intended to be installed over an existing wooden floor, it is recommended to repair any loose boards or squeaks before you begin the installation. ● With a floating floor you must always ensure you leave a 1/4” gap between walls and fixtures such as pipes and pillars, stairs, etc. These gaps will be covered with trim moldings after the floor is installed. Tip: When installing around pipes, drill the holes 3/4” larger than the diameter of the pipes. ● Decide the installation direction. It is recommended to install the length direction of the planks parallel to the main light direction. ● Measure the area to be installed:The board width of the last row shall not be less than 2”. If so, adjust the width of the first row to be installed. In narrow hallways, it is recommended to install the floor parallel to the length of the hall. ● Inspect each individual plank one by one before installation. No claims on surface defects will be accepted after installation. ● Due to the speed of sudden temperature changes, which has the potential to negatively affect this flooring, it is not recommended to install over any electrical radiant heating system. Installation over electrical radiant heating systems will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Below instructions are for radiant heating systems using water. Ensure the radiant heat surface temperature never exceeds 81°F. Before installing over newly constructed radiant heat systems, operate the system at maximum capacity to force any residual moisture from the cementitious topping of the radiant heat system. The maximum moisture content of the screed is 1.5% (CM method). Shut down the floor heating at least 48 hours prior to installation. Make sure that the temperature in the room is at least 60°F during installation. It is recommended that the radiant heat be applied in a gradual manner after installing the floor. Refer to the radiant heat system’s manufacturer recommendations for additional guidance.

3.WARNING: FAILURE TO PROPERLY LINE UP THE END JOINT AND ATTEMPTING TO FORCE IT IN WHILE OUT OF ALIGNMENT COULD RESULT IN PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE END JOINT. ATENCION: EL NO ALINEAR LAS PLANCHAS APROPIADAMENTE Y TRATAR DE FORZARLAS PUEDE CAUSAR DAÑOS PERMANENTES A LAS JUNTAS DEL PRODUCTO.
4.At the end of the first row, leave an expansion gap of 1/4" to the wall and measure the length of the last plank to fit. Al final de la ultima linea, dejar un espacio de 1/4” de la pared y medir el largo de la ultima plancha a encajar.
5.To cut the plank, use a simple utility knife and ruler, and with the top side facing up, cut heavily and several times on the same axis. The knife will not go through the surface but make a deep cut. You can then lift one half of the plank using your other hand to hold down the second placing it very close to the cut. The plank will split naturally.
6.Start the second row with the leftover cut part of the last plank of the previous row. This small plank should measure at least 12”. Otherwise, use another plank that should be cut in two. The end joints of each adjoining row should not be closer than 8" to each other. Comience la segunda fila con la parte cortada de la última tabla de la fila anterior. Este Pequeño tablón debe medir al menos 12 ”. De lo contrario, puede usar otro de los tablones y debe cortarlo en dos. En cualquier la distancia entre las juntas de los extremos de cada fila contigua no debe ser menor de 8''.
Helpful Hint 8.After finishing the installation of the row, use scrap pieces and a small hammer or rubber mallet to gently tap the planks into the click of the previous row to make sure they are tightly clicked together and make sure there is no gap between the long side of the planks installed. ANY GAPPING CAN COMPROMISE
7.Clic the long side of the plank into the previous row and place it tight to the short end of the previous plank with an angle of 30 degrees. Drop the plank and gently press down the end with a rubber mallet so it firmly locks into the previous plank until both are at the same height. Make sure both planks are perfectly aligned. NOTE: If you notice both planks aren’t at the same height or are not well locked together, please follow the disassembling instructions at the bottom of the page, disassemble and check if any debris stuck inside the lock is obstructing.
9.After 2-3 rows. Adjust the distance to the front wall by leaving an expansion gap of 1/4”. Always ensure that the end joints are staggered at least 8”, both when in the same row as when from one row to the next one. Después de 2 filas, ajuste la distancia frente a la pared, dejando una espacio de espansióde 1/4〃. Después de 2-3 filas. Asegúrese
10.To lay the last row: position a loose board exactly on top of the last row laid. Place another board on top, with the tongue side touching the wall. Draw a line along the edge of this boards, to mark the first board. Cut along the edge of this board to mark the first board. Cut along this line to obtain of the required width. Insert this cut board against the wall. The last row should be at
