Message from Mrs Collins Welcome back to school for the Autumn Term. It’s so lovely to see all the children back and I’ve had many conversations so far about their activities during the holidays. A warm welcome to all our new children and parents. You will have received a letter yesterday from your child’s class teacher detailing individual class arrangements. I’m looking forward to working with you all. Please could I remind you that we are a Healthy Eating School and as such throughout the school snacks should be healthy e.g. yogurt or fruit. Fruit is provided free for children in Years R, 1 and 2.
Mrs Collins
Thank you.
Attendance A reminder that the Ofsted requirement for attendance is 96%. As before, from next week we will include the weekly attendance figure in our newsletter. New Road, Far Forest, Kidderminster Worcs, DY14 9TQ Website: www.farforestlea.worcs.sch.uk

Parking As it’s the start of a new school year please could we remind parents to park courteously and avoid blocking the neighbours’ driveways. We appreciate how difficult parking is but would ask you to ensure that access to driveways is clear at all times. Thank you for your co-operation.
Illness Please could we ask you to ring school by 9.15 a.m. if your child is going to be absent due to illness. We would also remind you that if your child is away from school with sickness and/or diarrhoea, they should not return to school until 48 hours after they were last poorly.
Home-School Agreement All children are required to have a HomeSchool Agreement. This is an agreement signed by you, your child and Headteacher. It details what the staff of the school will aim to do, support from parents and expectations from pupils. We will be sending out copies to children for whom we don’t have an agreement and would be grateful if these could be returned to school as soon as possible. Mrs. Collins will sign the agreement and a copy sent home for retention.
Admissions If you have a child who was born between 1st September 2012 and 31st August 2013, you need to apply for a place by 15th January 2017. For more information and to apply visit
