Off campus date passes are available in the ASB office. All bills need to be paid prior to purchasing a ticket. Prices are as follows: 3/21-3/25 $85 with ASB $90 without ASB $100 non RHS student 4/4-4/8 $90 with ASB $95 without ASB $100 non RHS student 4/11-4/15 $95 with ASB $100 without ASB $100 non RHS student Prom Fashion Show is Wednesday March 23rd during lunch on the outdoor stage. Come and see the new style of dresses and tuxes. Come and support Rowland at the opening of The Habit in Rowland Heights across from the mall where the Barnes and Nobles use to be on Saturday March 26th from 5:00-7:00pm. The Habit will be donating 100% of the proceeds to Rowland HS during this time and no flyers are required. Interested in running for ASB officer for 2016-2017 school year? Pick up an application in the ASB Office. Mandatory meeting and applications due on Tuesday March 22nd at lunch in the hideout. Battle of the Classes is Friday March 25th in the gym. Come to the hideout at 6:00 to get FREE face paint. Food trucks will be available in the parking lot from 6:00-7:00 and then again after the event. Points will be given for each and every person that attends so everyone makes a difference! There is still time: IB and City of Hope Blood Drive is Tuesday March 22. Sign ups are in front of the Hideout. Students must be at least 16 (with parent permission) and 17 without parent permission. Wear your Renaissance shirt on Thursday March 24th for Tangy Thursday. Come to the outdoor stage with your current student ID card and receive some tangy treats. On Thursday, March 24, Deaf Awareness Club will be hosting a rally in the hideout at lunch. There will be a guest speaker, poem reading, games, and an opportunity to win two gift cards for In-n-Out and Starbucks. Our guest speaker is an interpreter who has had experience interpreting for KISS, Journey, Led Zeppelin, and Aerosmith. The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) College Fair is on Wed., April 27th 2016 from 6-8pm at the Ontario Convention Center. This annual fair attracts over 150 major colleges and universities and is specifically targeted toward college-bound sophomores and juniors. Informative workshops on the following topics will be provided: How to Select a College , Financing a College Education, Information for the College-Bound Athlete , Scholarships, ACT/SAT Prep , College Essay , 1st Generation College Student Reminders NEW Rowland THUNDER shirts on sale in ASB office. Only $8 with ASB card and $10 without. There will be events during basketball season if you wear a new thunder shirt you will get free stuff. End Of Day 5th Period: If your school day ends after 5th period, drop off your ID card with Ms. Raygoza in the morning so it can have the proper PASS put on it for you to be allowed to leave campus at lunch time. If you do not have the PASS on your ID card, you will not be allowed to leave campus at lunch time. Bring Your RHS ID with you to school every day. It is needed to check out books, use computers, etc. You must have a current RHS parking hanger in your car at all times. The hanger is registered to the car not the person. Students may NOT park in the yellow areas which are reserved for STAFF. Warnings will start to be issued this week for students parking in the wrong areas or without a hanger. Students may NOT paint their locker. If you paint your locker you will be charged a fee for vandalizing your locker.

Seniors – we went to know where you’re going to college next year. If you agree to let us advertise the college you will be attending along with your senior photo, please pick up a permission slip from your counselor. There are still some senior shirts and sweatshirts available for purchase if you didn’t get one yet. If you think that you may qualify for the Biliteracy Award, please come to room P-22 at the beginning of lunch on Mondays or Fridays to pick up an application. Please bring with you a copy of your transcript (from Homelink is O.K.) with you. Please make sure to highlight the foreign language courses you have taken. Also, calculate and write the GPA for the foreign language courses you took at Rowland High School only. Applications will start being accepted on Monday, February 1st.
