Role Summary To be the focal point for those pupils enrolled in the School DofE groups and supervise pupils whilst on expeditions. Support the CCF Contingent Commander and School Staff Instructor in the smooth running of the CCF. Duties and Responsibilities The following list is not exhaustive but the post holders’ principal responsibilities are:
Ensuring that pupils are correctly enrolled onto the eDofE database. Make presentations to year groups in assemblies and tutor groups to promote the DofE Award to potential participants. Mentor, support and advise pupils in regards to sectional activities and timescales of the Award. Keeping track of individual progress through the Award and informing the DofE Co-ordinator of concerns or lack of progression by pupils. Be available at regular times to offer `drop in support sessions` for all students enrolled onto the School Award Programme. Ensure that training requirements are achieved prior to students completing Practice Expeditions in line with the DofE Expedition Framework. Organise and gain approval for Bronze, Silver and Gold Expeditions.

Be available to lead / support groups whilst on practice or assessed expeditions in line with experience and qualifications. Be willing to work towards National Governing Body Qualifications in various modes of transport. Day to Day running of the DofE and adventure training equipment store – to include issues, returns, cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Assist with the School Ten Tors Programme – Training and Expeditions. To be available for the Ten Tors event. Assist in the day to day running of the CCF clothing and equipment store. Maintain the CCF Pamphlet and Publications Library. Assist CCF Section Officers in the preparation of scheduled Lessons in consultation with the School Staff Instructor. Assist in the preparation of all major CCF Camps and Field Days, as directed by the Contingent Commander and SSI. Assist with the weekly CCF Parade session.
