NC 27376 Phone No: 910-235-8556 Fax No: 910-235-8308 EVENT CATEGORIES The tournament will be open to adults (40+ by December 31, 2014). Players can compete in one single age category in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles. and/or Mixed Doubles. Age groups will be 40+, 60+ and 70+. Age groups will be determined by the age of the youngest doubles player. Registration Deadline is September 1, 2014. TOURNAMENT FORMAT Teams will not be seeded. Brackets will be determined by random draw. The format will be double elimination on both days. Preliminary matches will consist of 1 game to 15 points (win by 2). Medal matches (1st & 3rd) are best 2 games out of 3 to 11 points. The “if necessary” match will be 1 game to 15. Tournament will be governed by the official USAPA rules and regulations. Consolation round robin. Tournament committee reserves the right to modify the tournament as needed. EQUIPMENT USED Yellow outdoor Balls (USAPA Approved). The tournament will be played outdoors. POLICIES Registration forms must include partner’s name at the time of registration. Incomplete forms will not be processed. Players may not enter two age groups in the same event. Events can be
cancelled, combined and restricted at the discretion of the tournament committee. Cancellations will be accepted only from the cancelling player. No refunds will be given for cancellations. It is the player’s responsibility to find a replacement partner. All decision of the tournament committee are final
Pickleball Doubles Tournament Sept, 18, 19, 20 TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE The event format and schedule will be released one week prior to tournament. Players must be available on both tournament days between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Men’s & Women’s Doubles play begins on Friday; Mixed Doubles begins on Friday or Saturday. Event will be combined to one day if necessary. A player social will be held on Sept. 18 and more information will be provided later. Practice available on Sept. 18 from 3‐5 p.m. Player check‐in is Sept. 18 from 4‐5 p.m. TOURNAMENT FEES $20 Initial Registration (includes t‐shirt); $5 for one additional event Minimum registration fee is $20; Maximum is $25. TOURNAMENT DIVISIONS & AWARDS Awards for 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place.
