The PTSA would like to congratulate the 158 students and 25 faculty/staff who had perfect attendance for first quarter. This is a record high for one quarter. Keep up the excellent work; we are proud of you! We rewarded everyone who had p.a. with a cool, refreshing treat. Hope to see you again after second quarter! The PTSA also brought snacks for our hard-working faculty once each month this quarter at faculty meetings to show our appreciation for our awesome teachers and staff. :) We will also be giving out door prizes a the annual faculty/staff Christmas breakfast in December. Please mark your calendars now for our ZUMBATHON SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER on Sunday, January 27, 2013, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the gym. Dollars for Scholars "Dollars for Scholars" is the PTSA's new college scholarship fund-raising campaign. Instead of just earning a small portion of anything sold, or renting an expensive ballroom to hold an event, we are cutting out the middle man and asking the entire Kailua community to individually donate a small amount directly to our scholarship fund. We believe the community supports higher education and will rise to the challenge of contributing to our students' college dreams. The personal touch will be a key component in the success of our campaign. Please consider asking your doctor, dentist, mechanic, contractor, hair dresser or owner of your favorite shop or restaurant to support our cause. Seniors, this is an excellent way to become eligible for the PTSA scholarship as participation in PTSA activities is required. We'd like to keep track of which businesses have been contacted, so as not to harass with repeated requests, so we encourage you to contact Andrea at 469-5788 or Glee at 728-6653. We can also provide a cover letter and receipt.
