Counselor Guidance Curriculum Study Process In the Fall of 2012, the Cheney School District officially began the Counselor Curriculum Study Committee. The charge of this committee was to study the current K-12 counseling program of the Cheney School District, align with current state and national standards, align with American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model, update where needed, and make counseling curriculum and program recommendations to the Cheney School District Board of Directors. The committee reviewed the counselor curriculum adoption from April 2007. This document was aligned and updated based on the ASCA Student Standards, ASCA School Counselor Competencies, and the Washington State Grade Level Expectations in Health and Fitness. Cheney School District Comprehensive Counseling and Guidance Program The mission of the Cheney Public Schools Guidance and Counseling Program is to provide all students with consistent comprehensive guidance to encourage growth in their academic, personal/social, and career development.
Elementary Cheney Public Schools Elementary Comprehensive Counseling and Guidance Program Delivery System Direct Services: in-person interactions between school counselors and students. 1.
