ACSRC Working Paper Guidelines ACSRC Working Paper Series: The aim of the ACSRC Working Paper series is to share with a wide audience of academics, practitioners and policy-makers new and exciting work and perspective relevant to rural policy and development, particularly from the social science research community. The main requirement is that the work relates in some way to the research agenda of the ACSRC (please see our web page: http://www.acsrc.ca/). This can be work in progress or work ready for publication and there are no copyright restrictions regarding the use of material from working papers in future publications (ie, this is a “pre-publication” venue). The primary logic behind the Papers is to both inform and spark political, policy and academic debate, conversation and awareness about the topic at hand. Any members of Departments affiliated with the ACSRC, visitors to the ACSRC, participants in conferences and workshops organised by the ACSRC, as well as members of, and those working in collaboration with, the ACSRC are encouraged to submit their papers to the Working Paper Series. All Working Papers are available on our website. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be used to read, print, and download the papers. This software is available free from http://www.adobe.com.. Format for Submission: i) Though there is no formal blind refereeing process, the papers will be reviewed by the Director for content, appropriate fit and (where applicable/appropriate) methods, etc. This review may result in a request that the paper be lightly edited, and authors may be asked to make changes before they are placed on the web site. The Director reserves the right to decline papers that are not considered sufficiently well developed or relevant to ACSRC themes.
ii) The paper should be submitted in MSWord format, and will be adapted to the ACSRC Working Paper format by ACSRC staff.
iii) The title page should include: - Title, author(s), date (month/year) - Abstract (of no more than 200 words) - Address for correspondence - Keywords iv) It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that a consistent system of referencing is used throughout the paper. Parenthetical systems (APA, Chicago) are preferred. v) Papers may be of any length, but it is suggested that they fall between 5000 and 10,000 words. Submission An electronic copy of the paper should be submitted to
