Thank you for your generosity. Your regular financial support of our parish community is essential to our continued viability and vitality. Stations of the Cross and Bread and Soup Supper To deepen our Lenten experience we will offer Stations of the Cross (a series of prayers based on the path Jesus walked to his death on Calvary) connecting the Gospel to contemporary issues which will be followed by a simple supper. Jeanne and Harold Qualters have graciously agreed to prepare the food. No fee will be charged for the meal but donations will be gratefully accepted to cover costs. Any surplus funds will be donated to our Food Pantry. Volunteers are needed to prepare and clean up the serving and dining tables and a beverage station and bring desserts. The Stations will begin at 6 p.m. with supper following around 6:30 on February 21, 28 March 7, 14 and 21. Please check the sign up poster in the vestibule or call Elizabeth in the parish office 518-489-5408.
Chocolate Sunday: Support the youth of our parish at the Bake Sale after each morning Mass on February 11 and join us for the St. Vincent’s annual chili cook-off after the 11:00 Mass! Come for the baked goods and stay for the chili! We are looking for bakers and chili makers. February 4, 2018 ~ 5th Sunday of ordinary time Faith Formation & Youth Ministry Faith Formation Sessions (grades k-5) take place on Sundays from 9:45-10:45AM in the Parish Center Youth Day Session (grades 6-10) on March 4th from 12:15-2:00 in the church At the next Youth Day Session (grades 6-10) on March 4th from 12:15-3:15 in the church building we will be participating in a Food Fast! We will be skipping lunch and learning how to take a stand against global poverty. By participating in Catholic Relief Services’ FoodFast we will explore how to respond to hunger in a world of plenty. We’ll journey with the poor and hungry as a way of living out our Catholic faith. Parishioners Visiting Our Sister Parish in Darien, Panama Corrina and Donny Duvall, their two children, Dylan and Arielle, and Debbie Trees will be leaving for Darien, Panama on Thursday, February 15th and returning on Saturday, February 24th, flying out of and returning to JFK airport in New York City. We are looking for a driver or drivers to assist with their transportation to the airport. A van or minivan would be needed. After each Mass, parishioners will also be able to contribute a drawing, note or picture to an album that will brought down to Panama. School Supply Donations Needed: The Duvall Family and Deb Trees will be traveling soon to visit our sister parish in Darien, Panama. They would like to bring donations of school supplies: boxes of crayons, pens, pencils, flash cards (in Spanish if words), and deflated soccer balls.
