STEVE APIRANA BLUES CONCERTS - 2&3 May 2015
Steve Apirana and wife, Ainsley, will share their dulcet tones in a Blues Concert on Saturday 2nd May and the Sunday morning service on 3rd May. An excellent opportunity to invite those who don’t know Christ, as Steve is an incredibly funny minister of the Gospel and very engaging of people outside of the church. Cost $20 Adults, $10 children (16 years & under). Tickets need to be PRE-PURCHASED. Tickets are on sale today in the foyer.
MISSIONS VANUATU EMERGENCY APPEAL
Category 5 Cyclone Pam crashed into Vanuatu on March 13 and led to 15 000 houses being uninhabitable and 42 000 homes being damaged. Donations made to GMP will cover a variety of needs. GMP will be delivering its aid through COCOA, via a Vanuatu Partnership Program which includes the Conference of Churches of Christ in Vanuatu. They will also partner with other Christian agencies as needed. Donations are tax deductible.

MISSION VISIT TO SELAPHUM IN THAILAND Since 2008 members of our church have been visiting the Selaphum leprosy community and Church in Thailand. The purpose of the partnership between the churches in Australia and Thailand is to provide friendship, relationshipbased assistance and resources for the development of their Christian Church, the village people and their facilities. In 2012 our church, together with the Nedlands’ Rotary Club, helped to finance the purchase of a complete brick-making plant. Since then a Community Centre has been built. Our ongoing support will assist in developing and running these facilities. We will be doing some painting of the Centre while we are there. Eight members of Dianella have committed to travelling to Selaphum with some members from Dalkeith Road Church of Christ. People participating in our team are: Ailsa Williams, Marie Tinetti, Adam Paul, Jimmy Yengi, Dave and Jaimes Ladner, Kim and Jan Bowers. We will commence our fundraising this month to assist with the partial cost of expenses associated with this Mission. Events include a car wash and sausage sizzle on March 21 and a High Tea at Church on March 22 at 2.00pm. We would also appreciate the sponsorship of some people who need assistance with the cost of their airfares etc. Please see either Jan or Kim on this matter. THANK YOU Thank you to those people who assisted us in our fund raising activities of last weekend. The car wash and the high tea contributed $950 which will go towards meeting some of the costs of this mission trip. What a fantastic effort by all those involved.
