February 3, 2016 Dear Parents and Guardians, Congratulations to our Science Fair participants and all of the winners! We had another great showing this year, and we could not have done it without the help of our parents, staff, Science Department, and of course- Mrs. Trudeau! The list of winners will be attached below. Here are some of the upcoming events and reminders: Starting on Monday, Feb 8th HCSS will be instituting a new Bus Dismissal Bell. This bell will ring at 4:10pm and buses will leave at 4:11pm. All students should be on the bus at this time or they will be responsible for providing their own means of transportation home. On Fridays, this bell will ring at 3:30pm and buses will leave at 3:31pm. Friday, February 5th will be Wear Red Day at HCSS to support Heart Disease. Bring $2 to Mrs. Ross any day between now and 2/5 and you can dress down in a red shirt to support the American Heart Association. See the attached flyer for details. The annual Black History Month Assembly will take place on Friday, February 5th. The Middle School Assembly will be at 9am and the High School Assembly will be at 10am. Don’t forget that next week we will have the MCAS and ELA Practice Tests on Thursday 2/11 and Friday 2/12 for grades 6, 7, 8, and 10. The admissions process for the 2016-2017 school year has begun! Please take a minute to complete the attached Re-Enrollment Form and return it to the main office by March 9, 2016. Please go to our website and take the Parent Survey. Your feedback is greatly appreciated! http://www.hampdencharter.org/apps/news/article/527212 The next PTO Meeting will be held on Saturday, February 27th from 12:00-1:00 pm in the HCSS Teacher’s Lounge. If your student attends Saturday School, this is a great opportunity to attend a PTO Meeting! Thank you for your support!
