Notice of Study Commencement and Public Information Centre No.1 New Waste Haulage Receiving Station Schedule 'B' Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Project Background The City of Hamilton has initiated a Schedule 'B' Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study to determine the preferred location for a new waste haulage receiving station. General locations to be considered during this Class EA study are identified on the study area map below. This study includes public, review agency, and First Nations consultation, evaluation of alternatives, assessment of the impacts of the proposed works, and identification of measures to mitigate any adverse impacts. Upon completion of the study, a Project File Report documenting the planning and decision making process will be prepared and made available for public review.
The Study Process This Study will follow the planning and design process as defined in the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment document (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 & 2015). Public Information Centre (PIC) No. 1 Two (2) PIC sessions will be held as part of this study.
