APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE
LOW-INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LIHEAP)
If your utility service has not been disconnected, there are two ways to apply for assistance: IN PERSON To apply in-person, you must have an appointment. From October 1-31, DOEE will only be providing service to those clients whose energy services have been disconnected. If you have not been disconnected, you may make an appointment beginning November 1, 2015. Make an appointment by calling 3-1-1. Appointments begin November 9. ONLINE Complete an online application at doee.dc.gov/liheap. Computers are available at any DC Public Library. Online applications for customers whose service has not been disconnected will be processed beginning November 9. For questions about LIHEAP procedures, please call 3-1-1.
