Welcome Message Dr. Walter Bini Consultant Neurosurgeon & spine surgeon Health point Abu Dhabi-UAE, Waldkrankenhaus- Germany Distinguished Colleagues, Dear Friends: Welcome! Spine and Spinal Disorders 2018 opens its doors and takes place as a unique inter and multidisciplinary Congress in a time where practically daily innovations such as robotics, new navigation concepts, 3-D printing, less invasive techniques, AI, stem cell treatments, new insights in analgesia among others, warrant us all to discuss, evaluate and bring together “all of this” and define the road ahead for the benefit of our patients and our respective disciplines. Yes, indeed it is a great undertaking. I invite you all to actively participate and contribute for your role is fundamental in truly setting the standards and evolving guidelines for our daily work and future direction. Our Congress, bringing together researchers, orthopaedic and neurosurgeons, pain management specialists, rheumatologists, physiotherapists, internal medicine specialists, radiologists and others without frictions or artificially imposed boundaries, wants to unite our efforts and energies so we can better tackle the different ongoing problems and challenges we face regarding surgery and treatment options. Only together we can learn, improve and advance in this very demanding field and thus succeed in our objectives. We sincerely look forward to having you with us and in making and being part of the difference! I am sure you will enjoy also the special sessions and highlight events. Welcome Message Professor Wagih El Masri Consultant Surgeon in Spinal Injuries Clinical Professor of Spinal Injuries Keele University Dear friends, colleagues, delegates and presenters: I would like to welcome you on behalf of the members of the Organising Committee of 3rd International Conference on Spines & Spinal Disorders 2018. The success of the previous in 2017 would have been experienced by many of those who attended. The conference will be held in the Lively city of London on the 11th & 12th June 2018 . Today the pace of progress in the management of the various conditions affecting the spine is not easy to keep up with. Our understanding of the basic science is also improving at unprecedented speed. Evidently it is difficult for the clinician to keep abreast of all these developments. Furthermore the changes in demography and epidemiology as well as the increasing limitations of resources for health care in both developing and developed countries often require constant review and update of practice. Clinicians and scientists from the five continents will be able to acquire and exchange information, update their knowledge, develop new strategies for the management of their Service and perhaps discover areas of research to collaborate and contribute. I am confident the scientific program together with the various attractions offered by this beautiful and buzzing city of London, its rich cultural history and historical buildings, its attractive landmarks, museums, theatres , generous choice of cuisine and easy accessibility to the countryside and other cities in the UK will ensure added value and enhanced enjoyment of both the conference and your visit to London. I am looking forward to welcoming you in London and enjoying the Collegiality of this truly International Community.
