Mission Statement: FC42 will provide a competitive soccer experience for the committed soccer player. We will strive to create an environment that will provide each player with a valuable learning experience, an opportunity to improve their soccer skills, an entry into higher levels of soccer and a chance to be part of a growing program. We will support these principles by improving individual skills through well-structured practice sessions and playing games at the highest competitive age-appropriate level possible, increasing the tactical element of team play and by using soccer as a vehicle to promote fair play, self confidence and good citizenship
Program History: FC42 was created as a U13-U19 program in 2012 with the merger of several Central Ohio clubs (Elite FC, St. Brendan’s and Thunder FC). With each of the founding clubs sharing the same core values and focus on player development, this merger allowed for the players to have access to top level coaching talent and the opportunity to play on and against some of the best teams in the state and nation.
What To Expect From FC42: •
Tryoutso Duration- Tryouts will occur over a two night period. Your player is encouraged to attend both sessions in order to receive the most objective evaluation. o Registration Each player is encouraged to pre-register for tryouts through the FC42 website (http://www.fc42.org) Walk up registrations will be accepted on the day of tryouts, but plan on the registration process taking longer to fill out paperwork. o Placement – At the conclusion of the tryout process, the FC42 Club Director, Technical Directors and evaluators will review the individual player assessments to try to place each player onto the highest level team that they feel is appropriate for both the athlete and teams.
