Anders Lindström, Director of Communications, USA The former PR Director of SAS Scandinavian Airlines and PR Manager of JetBlue is now Norwegian’s first Director of Communications in the U.S. Swedish by birth, university-educated in the UK and having worked many years as a journalist in both England and Australia before moving over to PR, Anders is now celebrating two years in New York City and the U.S. In his role, Anders is Norwegian’s official spokesperson in the U.S., and oversees all communications and PR strategies in this market. With an addiction to travel, Anders has been to more than 70 countries across all continents. Favorite destinations within the Norwegian network ? Malta, which is like traveling back in time a few hundred years; the Longyearbyen-S valbard island far north of Norway, where the polar bear population outnumbers that of humans; Lisbon, still one of Europe’s hidden treasures; and of course, my old hometown of Stockholm, simply one of the most beautiful cities in the world: one third city, one third water and one third parks. Next Norwegian destination for leisure? Corsica, France, where eight of us have rented a massive villa for a week this July. What do you lik e most about the Norwegian brand? That it is so distinctively different in terms of innovations and service, which really makes it one, if not the most exciting brand in the airline industry right now. And this is still only the beginning. Réal Hamilton-Romeo, PR Manager, USA Réal has an extensive background spanning several industries, including travel, business, finance, lifestyle, fashion, beauty and entert ainment. She was previously a member of JetBlue’s corporate communications team, led the public relations team at Eos and started her airline career at KLM. Réal also prepares the next generation of public relations professionals by sharing her knowledge of and experience in public relations as an adjunct lecturer at St. John’s University. Having travelled to more than 30 countries around the world, she only made her first trip to Scandinavia a few weeks ago when she went to Norwegian’s head office in Oslo. Favorite destinations within the Norwegian network ? Las Vegas, where I celebrated a birthday with close friends and my sister and it was just awesome; London, because, well, it is London; and Thailand, for the beaches and shopping, of course.
Next Norwegian destination for leisure? Athens. I’ve never been, but a good friend of mine is from Greece and the way she speaks about her home allowed me to simply fall in love with it. What do you lik e most about the Norwegian brand? The Norwegian brand is fun, cool and modern – just like me. Andrea Holden, PR Manager, USA Andrea is our destinations expert, having handled media relations and destination marketing for Czech Tourism North America for more than a decade. With a Master in Strategic Communications from Columbia University, she is now bringing her expertise and knowledge to help build the Norwegian brand here in the U.S. With a passion for exploring the world and sharing her travel experiences, Andrea has traveled to nearly 50 countries around the globe. Favorite destinations within the Norwegian network ? Thailand, where I rode an elephant in the remote Thai village of Chiang Mai; Istanbul, where we explored the historic mosques; and of course Prague, the city of hundred spires and the capital of my native country, the Czech Republic. Next Norwegian destination for leisure? The Norwegian fjords, where I would love to hike and explore the unspoiled natural scenery. What do you lik e the most about the Norwegian brand? Norwegian’s values that everyone should be able to fly and choose travel services that suit their budget.
