PROJECTS OFFICER Oaktree engages with over 180,000 youth supporters across Australia, and this movement is underpinned by strong and trustworthy relationships with local communities, schools, universities, churches and workplaces. Assertive, mindful and friendly people like Projects Officers are key to creating and maintaining these relationships.. . As a Projects Officer, you will be responsible for creating strong external relationships within Queensland to grow Oaktree’s brand, create revenue streams and strengthen our political and social impact through Oaktree’s campaigns like Live Below the Line.
As the Projects Officer, a typical day might look like: • Promoting Oaktree’s campaigns to external stakeholders, giving them opportunities to take action and deeply engage with both our political and social impact work. • Broadening Oaktree’s brand presence by strongly communicating our vision, campaigning goals and engagement model. • Building a stable revenue stream by leading weekly phone banking sessions. • Reaching campaigning targets and goals. • Creating and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders through a campaigning period. • Communicating weekly about the priorities and challenges faced by your relationships.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR • A confident verbal and written communicator. • Has the ability to inspire, involve and motivate. • Is innovative and comfortable learning in a fast paced environment. • Can build and maintain strong internal and external relationships. • Feels comfortable working both independently and in a team. • Can help build a positive volunteer experience and work culture.
