After successfully running Thai Garden House Restaurant in North Parramatta for 13 years and winning the Savour Australia's Best Thai Restaurant in Sydney Metro 2013, my brother Salong and I, along with our most experienced team now bring Laos and Northeast Thailand's Isaan cuisine to Eat Street Parramatta.
At Lao Der our family recipes have been pass on to us from generations maintaining the traditional influence. We have combined well-known Lao and Isaan cuisine with our modern cooking techniques, using only fresh ingredients for you to enjoy. Lao and Isaan food is simple yet regional spices such as galangal, coriander, lemon basil, kaffir lime and lemongrass enhance the dishes without the use of coconut cream, bringing you vibrant and flavoursome tastes.
Along with sticky rice, the staple accompaniment to our dishes we also offer various styles of the ever popular zesty green papaya salads, the famous Larb (minced meat salad), Sai Uoa (Lao pork sausage) and BBQ Ox Tongue to name a few.
