OPENING WELCOME
Congratulations on being a part of the beginning of the Mount Waverley City Soccer Club. Acting as an unofficial feeder to the Eastern Lions Soccer Club - which is now a member of the NPL - the Mount Waverley City Soccer Club will provide players within the local community the opportunity to continue their soccer playing experience. Mount Waverley City Soccer Club will look after all of the juniors from the youngest of the Mini Roos programs through to the older age groups with the hopes that in 2015 teams will be fielded in the Under 12s, 13s and possibly Under 14s. With the Eastern Lions being limited to only one team in each age group from Under 12 upwards, the Mount Waverley City Soccer Club entity will provide all players a home to continue playing the world's greatest game. All existing Eastern Lions players from 2014 will transition to the new club, but rest assured this development is all upside, with a tremendous new Junior Committee chomping at the bit to provide existing and new players an excellent home to play our great game. There are many exciting initiatives planned for the club in 2015 and beyond, so we look forward to welcoming you all back. Our club colours will be claret and blue stripes sporting the wolf logo. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks on our website and facebook pages. Tonight is about introducing the club and providing more information about everything which has happened in the last few months prior to pre-season training commencing. In the meantime you can keep up with all the news on our official club website www.mountwaverleycitysoccer.com.au and you can also like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mount-Waverley-City-Soccer/316017365265643 If you want to help out in anyway please speak to any of the committee members.

C ODES OF C ONDUCT Following are behaviour guidelines for all members of the club be they administrators, parents, spectators or players. 1. Everyone, coaches, parents, players and spectators, should respect the decisions of the match day officials. They will make mistakes occasionally. We all do. 2. Do not critise opponents or their parents. 3.
Support all the players in your team. Do not criticise anyone. Remember – children don’t mean to make mistakes.
4.
Parents, be your child's best fan, support them unconditionally and always focus on the positive aspects of their game.
5.
Parents develop a responsibility in your child to make sure they have the correct equipment such as shin pads, boots, correct uniform and they have a water bottle.
6.
Spectators must not enter the field of play.
7.
Players should speak with the coach if they are having difficulties in training or games, or can’t attend training etc.
8.
Do not criticise your child’s coach to your child or other parents. If you are not happy with the coach you should raise the issue with the coach.
9.
Parents must not coach from the sideline during matches or training. Doing so may cause confusion and erode your child’s confidence.
10.
Please remember – the game is for the children. It is not for the glory of the coach, manager or parents.
C OACHES Based on the playing numbers from last season we hope to have the following teams running in 2015. Some coaches have already made a commitment for the season but we still have a number of vacancies to fill. If any parents are interested in either a coach or team manager role please the committee know. Team
