MEADS MILL PATRIOTS Peek of the Week Week of November 16, 2015 Meads Mill Phone: 248-344-3700
Attendance Line: 248-344-3999, Option 2
Meads Mill Mission Statement Our mission is to challenge all students to become active, compassionate, life-long global learners through a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum which promotes creativity and problem-solving during the transition from elementary to high school through a partnership of staff, families, and our community.
Parking Lot Reminder Parents, please honor our parking lot guidelines regarding dismissal. No cars should enter the circle lot unless the student is somehow physically compromised. Parents lining up along the "Drop Off" lane are blocking the drivers who do need to pick up students on walkers, crutches, in wheel chairs, or wearing boots. Parents are also asked not to park in parking places on the circle. We have kids walking between parked high profile vehicles and into the path of cars trying to exit the lot. The cars are taller than the students. Please meet your student in the upper lot in assigned parking or along the parking places beside the softball fields. The loop out to Bradner is for school buses only. No cars or private vehicles should exit among or behind the buses. When ALL buses have cleared the loop out to Bradner, cars can then proceed to exit out to Bradner. We are concerned about the safety of all of our students. When everyone complies with the guidelines, we are all much safer. Please also advise any first-time siblings or others picking up your student.

Mott Children’s Hospital Fundraiser – Donations Accepted Through December 1 The sixth grade, in connection with its Courageous Characters unit, is examining how we can make a difference in the lives of others through acts of courage and kindness. With that in mind, we are collecting donations for Mott Children’s Hospital. All students received a flyer outlining high need items and gift ideas. Collections began Monday, November 2 and run through Tuesday, December 1. Donation items can be dropped off in the A-pod centrum.
