Meads Mill Mission Statement Our mission is to challenge all students to become active, compassionate, life-long global learners through a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum which promotes creativity and problem-solving during the transition from elementary to high school through a partnership of staff, families, and our community.
Winter Break is Almost Here – Holiday Attendance Reminders!! Winter Break begins at 3:02 pm this Friday, December 18! Classes resume Monday, January 4. ** If your student will be absent any additional days, please send them to the office before 1st hour begins with a note in advance of the absence! If the Office isn’t notified of your student’s absence, they will be marked as absent and unexcused for any days they miss. You can also call the Attendance line at 248-344-3999 to report your student tardy or absent. ** If you have to pick up your student unexpectedly during the school day, call the Office as soon as possible. With a little notice, we can get your student a pass, allowing us to avoid interrupting the classroom. ** From Saturday, December 19 to Sunday, January 4, the building will be closed. There will be no clubs, sports, or other meetings taking place at Meads Mill for the duration of winter break. Have a safe and wonderful break!
Last Chance!! - Lost and Found - Parents, please have your students check the Lost and Found for items that may belong to them. All unclaimed items will be donated to a charity during Christmas Break. Thank you.
Student Directories are being Distributed
The PTA-sponsored Meads Mill Student Directories are being distributed. Parents, please watch for them. Student Council Bake Sale – December 15 & 16! The Student Council will be holding a bake sale before school on Tuesday, December 15, and Wednesday, December 16. Hope to see you there, and thanks for your support! Join the Meads Mill Model United Nations – Parent Meeting Monday, December 14! WHY? Have fun, get better at public speaking, and so much more! Interested? Parent meeting Monday, December 14, at 6 pm in the Pit! Congratulations to Hamin Park – Lions Club District Peace Poster Winner! Congratulations to 6th grader Hamin Park! Hamin’s peace poster won first place at the district level (all of Wayne and Oakland County) this past weekend. Her poster will now go on to the state level, with judging taking place this weekend.
All peace posters will be on display at the Northville District Library starting early January through February. Not all peace posters will be on display at once (Meads Mill had over 250 entries). They will be displayed in a rotation. First, second, and third place posters will remain on display for the entire time. Make sure you stop by the library to see the posters! Volunteers Needed for PBIS Store – December 15 – 17, 2015 We are in need of volunteers for the PBIS super store, December 15-17, 2015. Please consider signing up to help us out. Girl Scout Troop 40839 – Sock, Glove, Hat Drive for Starfish Family Services Meads Mill students and families - Girl Scout Troop 40839 is asking for your help. Can you please help us keep kids less fortunate warm this winter with donations of socks, gloves and hats for the kids at Starfish. Starfish Family Services is a private, nonprofit agency serving vulnerable children and families in metropolitan Detroit. Starfish is a leading provider of early childhood development and parenting programs, children’s mental health services, after-school programs, and an emergency shelter for teens and youth in crisis. The donation box will be located in the Meads Mill office from December 7- 18 to collect all of your very generous donations.

[email protected] Calling All Bakers!! – December 16 – We Bake ‘Em & You Take ‘Em New this year, the Hospitality Committee is having a "We Bake 'Em & You Take 'Em" holiday event for the staff at Meads Mill! We are asking for volunteers to donate 2-3 dozen cookies or treats so that the staff has some wonderful baked goodies to enjoy with their families over the holidays!
