The paintings of Jan Teunissen (born The Netherlands, 1949) are made on a traditional way of painting, several layers of oil on panel. They are characterized by a high degree of realism and atmosphere; Classic realistic paintings while a modern look is not shunned. Constantly experimenting with materials, resources and topics, studying of many paintings and maintaining contacts with (master) fellow painters gave him the opportunity to create realistic paintings’ craft.
