If an OPTAVIA Coach or Client calls in because they have experienced an issue with uploading their video to the OPTAVIA Ignite Challenge Form, the following general information may help in making suggestions on what to try: 1. The video may be too big. It must be under 200 megabytes or smaller in size. The best guideline is to aim for less than 3 minutes, per the requirements of the program. They may also want to record in standard compression instead of HD to reduce the size. There are many, many tutorials on the Internet about how to record videos. 2. The video may be the wrong format. Preferred filetypes are .mp3, .mp4 (Windows Media Player) and .mov (Apple Quicktime.) 3. There may be an issue with their web browser. Clearing cookies/history/temporary internet files and then closing all browser windows and restarting the browser (very important!) may help fix this. If they are not sure how to clear cookies in their browser, they can look it up in their browser help file, or they can search Google for ‘how to clear cookies in {name of web browser}’. 4. If they are having difficulty on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, have them try switching to a computer with an internet connection. (Desktop or laptop does not matter.) If the Coach/Client Success team representative goes through all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, ask the submitter to go to the Technical Help link at the bottom of the submission form to connect with a representative form Submittable.
