The Opportunity
In keeping with the tradition of providing The Best Homeowner Experience and adhering to generally accepted building practices and high standards, Parkwood Master Builder is currently recruiting an Interior Designer. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Meet with customers in the Design Centre to coordinate Exterior and Interior Selections for housing and apartment projects. • Be prepared to meet with Customers outside of regular office hours to suit their availability. • Provide Exterior and Interior Selections for Model Homes & Show Homes. • Prepare exterior and interior selection documents and circulate as required. • Provide weekly reports on the status of projects. • Provide design and interior detailing for Show Home interiors • Be responsible for selecting, ordering or purchasing, and setting up furniture and accessories for Show Homes • Be responsible for preparing and keeping current inventories of all Show Home furnishings and accessories. • Be responsible for storage of goods in the Warehouse and keep all goods inventoried and neatly stored. • Be responsible for the delivery and acceptance of goods to the Warehouse. • Review and be familiar with Architectural Guideline Requirements for all subdivisions. • Review and stay current with present residential design features and concepts. • Research product information for new or custom products, furnishings and accessories. • Able to assist in the production of CAD and Softplan design and working drawings.
The Person
We are looking for a candidate with the following: • • • •
Relevant Degree from a recognized University. Technical Diplomas in the same field may also be considered. A minimum of 5 years relevant design experience, preferably in the residential industry. Excellent CAD skills. Ability to produce sketch and/or electronic drawings to present design concepts.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to coordinate several simultaneous tasks while maintaining a positive attitude and a flexible work style. Task relative administrative background and a strong ability to multitask. Ability to react well under pressure and treats others with respect. Able to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to service requests to meet customer needs. Competent MS Office computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
