Dear Substitute, Your services on behalf of the children of Manor ISD are appreciated, and we hope that you will be able to continue your association with the district. This letter provides notice of reasonable assurance of continued employment with the district when each school term resumes after a school break including a summer break. By virtue of this notice, please understand that you may not be eligible for unemployment compensation benefits drawn on school district wages during any scheduled school breaks including, but not limited to, summer, winter, and spring break. Your signed letter will stay on file in the Human Resources Department. If you choose to no longer substitute with Manor ISD, please contact the Manor ISD Human Resources Department at 512.278.4279 or via e-mail. Nothing contained herein construes an employment contract. Your continued employment is on an at-will basis. At-will employers may terminate employees at any time for any reason or for no reason, except for legally impermissible reasons. At-will employees are free to resign at any time for any reason or for no reason. Substitute guidelines for Manor ISD: • Substitutes will temporarily be deactivated from Manor ISD Skyward and ASEOP (Attendance) systems at the end of each school year. The attached New Hire Reporting Form and the Letter of Reasonable Assurance must be returned in order to be reactivated. • Substitutes must work at least five days per semester (Fall and Spring) to remain as a Manor ISD substitute employee. If there is no work history for two consecutive semesters the substitute will be removed from the Manor ISD substitute system. • Substitute employees are evaluated for their work performed. If work performance becomes deficient or if problems occur, Manor ISD will send you a corrective action substitute warning letter and/or remove you from substituting. Manor ISD has high expectations for all district employees. Failure to complete and submit this letter of reasonable assurance, by August 7, 2015 shall constitute a withdrawal of employment with the district for the 2015-2016 school year. Please contact Human Resources at 278-4279, if you have questions.
