About this role You will be utilizing your deep HR, payroll, & HRIT experience to drive HR operations, processes, & effective HR service delivery and strategy, while leading by example in demonstrating the firm’s mission, values and high-performance culture. This is a hands-on position with essential accountabilities including (but not limited to): • Effectively managing, planning, communicating, and delivering the firm’s benefit programs. • Identifying and researching HR issues, and effectively implementing objectives in line with organizational objectives. • Researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines. • Working directly with leadership, managers, and employees on employee relations issues. • Complying with legal requirements and monitoring compliance to internal policies. • Effectively administering job classification and compensation program. • Accurately and timely preparing and producing multi-state payroll. • Administering use of leave time in compliance with company policies and federal/state laws. • Critically reviewing and analyzing payroll and tax procedures and implementing changes. • Effectively administering all activities related to the firm’s Human Resources Management System (HRMS) relational database utilizing programming, advanced report-writing, and technical support skills. • Providing formal and informal mentorship to less experienced staff. • Developing and delivering organizational development-related subject matter training and workshops as requested. Requirements You should have the following: • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or Business Administration required. Master’s Degree preferred. • 4 years Human Resources with 4 years payroll and 4 years HRIS management may be substituted for degree. • 10 years’ Human Resources management with 5 years’ multi-state payroll management and 8 years’ HRMS database management experience required. • SPHR or SHRM-SCP, Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) preferred. • Microsoft Office Suite, Epicor HCM, SQL Server, C#, Microsoft ReportBuilder, & SAP Crystal Reports experience required. • Valid U.S. driver’s license, insurable driving record, and ability to travel out-of-town/ overnight for up to 10% of the time required.
