Human Resources OfficerLocation: Providence, RI *About Capital Good Fund:* Capital Good Fund (Good Fund) is a social change organization whose mission is to provide equitable financial services that create pathways out of poverty. As a nonprofit, U.S. Treasurycertified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), we offer low-income families in Rhode Island, Delaware, and Florida one-on-one Financial & Health Coaching and personal loans of up to $20,000. The job of the Human Resources Officer (HRO) is to strengthen the various human resource and compliance functions of Good Fund. On one hand this includes recruitment, staffing, training and performance monitoring, and on the other, research, oversight and management of our regulatory compliance. *Responsibilities:* • Spearhead the recruitment process for new hires and replacement hires • Maintain complete and up-to-date employee handbook • Monitor internal compliance with company policies and revisit policy language as necessary • Monitor compliance with local, state and federal law around employment and other areas as needed. • Coordinate delivery of employee benefits, including 401(k), medical and dental insurance • Propose changes to employee benefits, including research on best practices and cost-benefit analysis. • Work with supervisors to develop performance evaluation plans for individuals Otherwise support the team and encourage an excellent office and work culture *About You:* We are looking for exceptional people. Good Fund employees are passionate, motivated and committed to using financial services to transform the lives of people living in poverty. *You must:* • Have substantive experience directly recruiting, training, managing and terminating full-time staff • Be extraordinarily detail-oriented • Have excellent reading comprehension in English *Preferred background or experience:* • A degree in business, law, human resource management, or equivalent experience • Expertise in Microsoft Excel • Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish *Training and Compensation:* The HRO will receive extensive training on all of Good Fund’s recruiting, managing and operating policies and procedures, as well as on Good Fund’s products and services. The HRO will also work closely with experienced operations staff until such time as he or she is proficient in the responsibilities of the role. With this position there is significant opportunity for growth and advancement. Preferred start date is July 10, 2017. This is a full-time, forty-hour-per-week position. The HRO will earn an annual base salary of $36,273, and five years of relevant experience will raise the base salary to $39,873. In addition, the HRO will receive a competitive benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan with an employer match of 2%, medical insurance with a $250/month employer subsidy, dental
