WHAT WE LEARNED How Might Parents in Low-Income Communities Ensure Children Thrive in Their First Five Years?
Which are your favorite stores to buy your son's meal? Could you tell me a day you spent with your son that you love to remember? Thinking about your child's health, how is your experience with the public healthcare so far? Would you describe your son's typical day? Do you remember the last time your child got sick? Who took care of him/her? What’s your child's favourite meal? Le patatine fritte, il gelato al limone.

K EUREKA The big idea
!
thriving together !
#clericalBBQ
https://novoed.com/hcd-acumen/teams/101040
DESCRIBE THE IDEA We want to create a framework (brand, rules, adv, mobile/website, service) for schools, associations, libraries, hospitals, private people that want to open a “THRIVING TOGETHER” point. It could be an instant event or a recurrent one. You must accept the principles of the TT, specify the event activities (read aloud, toy sharing, simphonic ecc) linked to "animated objects" (books, toys, musical instruments ecc) which will be used to connect the participants and to work on a sense of community and game sharing among the kids and the parents involved. Facilitators (coming from different backgrounds and with the opportunity to gain points for school or university ranking) will moderate and welcome the families playing an important role within the TT point. The “Thrive Together” initiative will open a open platform where any organization can open a profile in order to communicate new events into a common calendar.

How will this idea have impact on the challenge ? This idea helps parents in low-income communities providing a space for playinggaming-recreational interaction. Parents can find books, illustrated magazines, toys and instruments to play with their children and other parents which can be a source of useful informations. It’s an opportunity to be deeply connected in a local community, involving children to extra school activities without spending money and create community among parents who usually are not enabled to feel in a “comfort position”.

PROTOTYPE PHASE getting our hands dirty
PRINCIPLES (ARRIVAL) 1. Thrive together is a space where you can grow sharing with others. 2. We gave birth to an idea: it’s not only a space, neither an event, it’s a concept. 3. Togheter means everybody. Noboby is excluded. 4. Babies & toddlers have a lead role. Parents are facilitators. 5. Don’t be scared to use your fantasy. 6. Every artifact has a story: come to share it with Us. 7. Giving away and taking in have the same weight.
