2. Living Costs (Maintenance) How many months do you have to show? Normally, you have to show maintenance for a full year of study (9 months) – or less if your course is shorter. £1,015 per month for courses outside London. If you have dependants with you in the UK (spouse or children), then you will also need to show maintenance for each dependant: £460 per person (outside London) and for the same number of months as you. You can only bring dependants with you in certain circumstances – please check the Home Office (UK Visas and Immigration) website. 3. Money already paid to the Education Sponsor ( University of Chichester): Any money already paid to the University for course fees and/or university arranged accommodation can be subtracted form the money you have to show. These amounts should be show in the CAS. If not, you can send an original University receipt to show what has been paid. The maximum accommodation fees you can subtract are £1,265.

The money you need to show (E) must be in your account for 28 days (finishing on the date of the closing balance). The bank statement must be no older than 31 days when you make your application. If you have an official financial sponsor or government sponsor, then the money can be shown in a letter from them rather than in your bank account.
