PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE: November 2, 1889 – North Dakota and South Dakota became the 39th & 40th states, respectively.
Flashes are aware that our planet needs healing, so we reduce, reuse, and recycle our materials as best as we can. We lead ourselves, our friends, our families and our communities when we actively help the Earth. LUNCH: Entrees: Orange Chicken; French Bread Pepperoni Pizza or Salad Bar ATHLETICS: 1. BOYS BASKETBALL – Tryouts will be TODAY after school. 2. GIRLS WATER POLO - If you are interested in participating on the Girls Water Polo Team, please sign-up with Ms. Tafoya in Room #20. 3. ALL ATHLETES: Reminder that you must be cleared through the Athletic Department and have a “Yellow” Clearance Form in order to try-out. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL AFTER SCHOOL TO GET CLEARED. 4. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL AND GIRLS GOLF - If you ordered pictures through Lifetouch, they are available for pick-up at the Student Store. CLUBS: 1. MOCK TRIAL – Please see Mr. Murphy if you are interested in participating on the Mock Trial team. If we don’t have a complete team, we will have to withdraw from the competition. PLEASE HELP! 2. Art Club members who volunteered to bring bake goods for the Dia de los Muertos fair please drop them off in the art room on Wednesday or downtown at the art club booth after 4. Students who volunteered to help at the event please report downtown at 4pm to help set up. 3. Anime Club will meet on Thursday in room 59. All are welcome. SENIORS: 1. Attention Seniors: Baby pictures can now be submitted. Turn them into either Mrs. Hoffman or Mrs. Schieferle and label them with your first name, last name, and the period you have Hoffman or Schieferle. Please submit by Friday, November 4th 2. Senior Contracts – PAST DUE. Turn them in at the office or to Ms. Hoffman or Ms. Schieferle. Beginning Monday, Nov. 7th, if your contract is not turned in, you will not be allowed off campus at lunch. JUNIORS: 1. If you’re interested in selling Marie Calendar Pies for Thanksgiving, stop by Rm. 56 for an order form. SENIORS & JUNIORS: 1. Summer Health Internship Program for Fillmore and Piru residents wishing to learn more about the health field. Internship is open to Juniors/Seniors. Please see Mrs. Orozco in Room 5 for application. SOPHOMORES: 1. Class t-shirt sales end on Nov. 11th. Get your order form in Room 57 (Herrera). XS – XL $16 2XL $18. STUDENTS: 1. Attention Students: If you purchased your yearbook before the end of the first quarter, please come by room 59 to pick up an info sheet on how to begin your personal pages in your yearbook. Don't forget, the yearbooks are now $70. 2. If you are interested in attending Grizzly Youth Academy there will be tours on Nov. 2, 5 or 19th. You need to register to reserve a spot for the tour. See Ms. Granados for more information. 3. Fillmore High School encourages students and staff to wear shirts promoting colleges on Thursdays throughout the year.

DRAMA PERFORMANCE: "Totally Rad!" - a jukebox musical set in 1988 that follows the lives of high schoolers dealing with love, jealousy, and Taco Bell, dude! Enjoy righteous tunes from U2, Pat Benatar, The Go-Go's, Night Ranger, and more! The performance dates and times are as follows:
