COME JOIN THE FUN!!!!!
With summer just around the corner and the kids out for summer break our golf course and other facilities are going to get very busy. Please slow down on our roadways to watch for pedestrians and golf carts. With Summer upon us, we have not enforced a water restriction yet. We are hoping we will not need to, but with the whole state of Oklahoma being in a drought we may not have a choice. One thing everyone can do to help tremendously is if you have a sprinkler system in your yard, please turn it off if it begins to rain. Every opportunity we have to let our water tower catch up really helps a lot. In closing, the area at the campground that we use for our members to drop off branches and leaves is for BRANCHES AND LEAVES ONLY. We are having a lot of dumping of other trash, tires, satellite dishes, garbage and boards with nails in them. If you have trash or other items that will not fit your trash can, we have dumpsters located at the maintenance building by the airport which are available anytime at no charge. Thank you Rod Reynolds Security Chief

General Manager’s Message The pool is open! School is out so watch for children as you drive through Falconhead. A special thank you to Danny McCarty and all the staff who helped him repair the pump/filtering system. The pool looks beautiful….hope y’all enjoy it this summer. The pool is open from noon to 8:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 10 to 8 p.m Friday-Sunday. Our pool rules are printed here in the Talefeathers so take a moment to look them over. The golf course is busy with members and guests playing every day. Our golf groups are having a great time. We continue to have rave reviews from them all. Unfortunately, we did not get much rain this past weekend when it was forecasted so please be mindful of the fire danger that still exists. There is no outside burning at Falconhead at any time without notification to the Falconhead Fire Department and the Falconhead Administration Office.

We are continuing to patch the roads now that the warmer weather is here. Please drive slowly and carefully when you see our people working on the roads. The annual Waco Turner Tournament is June 7 & 8. We are getting a good response and it appears it should be another great tournament. If you don’t play golf, you can still come out and watch. There will be many of your friends and neighbors playing in the tournament. If you don’t play golf – think about learning. Living at Falconhead is ideal for golfers. Golf is a great form of exercise and a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors. The mowing everything season is here again so we have added the mowing into our work schedule. It is also bug time so we will be spraying for mosquitoes regularly. I want to thank our staff for the excellent job they do in stepping up to the call and getting everything done throughout the season. Falconhead is a big place to maintain on a daily basis. Our staff does an excellent job. Thanks to them all. We have had a lot of activity and interest in lot sales lately. Despite the misinformation being put out about Falconhead, we have a great place to live. People here should be thankful, look around and be part of the solution in all you do and say. Thank you. Barbara Selby General Manager

FALCONHEAD FACTS THE FPOA BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAVE NOT DISCUSSED NOR CONSIDERED RAISING THE MAINTENANCE FEES.

13 green has had some sod installed in one of the worst areas and will continue to do patch work on it. Fairways and tees have been fertilized and should start to grow and look better soon. Tees and greens surrounds will be sprayed with herbicide as soon as the winds calm down and it gets a little warmer. That should take care of the clover around the greens as well as some broad leaves that have broke through pre-emergent. As soon as possible we will complete #8 women's tee and #16 bunker. I appreciate your patience concerning these two projects.
Thanks for your support Terry Durst Golf Course Superintendent Falconhead Resort & C.C.
