Nonprofit Events Monday, May 8th • Fremont Soccer Club “Play for Andrew Celebration” – 5:30 to 8:30 at Christensen Field.
Tuesday, May 9th • Care Corps Open House – 7 am to 7 pm. Coffee from 7-9 am, soup from 12-1:30 pm, root beer floats from 3-7 pm. Tours and information. • Jefferson House Open House – 10 am to 7 pm. Tours, information, FABG gifts accepted. • Uniquely Yours Stability Support “SOOKS” Event – 1:30 to 3 pm. Free gently used suits and books will be available. Send event information to Leigh (

Nonprofit Display Venue • May 9th from 4-7 p.m. at the May Bros. Building (“The May”) • Room for nonprofits to display information • Fill out sign up sheet if you plan to display information • Open to the public – promote on social media and spread the word!

Meet us for “The Final Stretch” • Participating nonprofit board & staff members are invited to stick around at The May Bros. Building from 7-10 p.m. • Heavy hors d’oeuvres provided & cash bar • Giving station available • Coffee bar by Milady Coffeehouse (in partnership with Hardy Coffee Co) • The Creative Collective is looking into entertainment 6

May 9th Checklist • Kick off the FABG with a bang! Ask board members to help kick off your campaign by donating in the early morning hours. • Pound the pavement! Get out into the community. Attend events. • Check in with board members and make sure they are ready to implement your plan. • Be active all day on social media! Use #FremontAreaBigGive & #FABG • Check donor data every hour and make sure you are thanking donors in real time either on social media or e-mail. • Enter any checks or cash received into the CiviCore portal, or take them to the FACF offices to be entered no later than 6 p.m. 8

Nonprofit Staffing & Service • Please plan to have one person available to answer questions regarding FABG via phone or in person on May 9th. Use FAQs to guide staff on how to answer questions and guide donors. • If you cannot answer a question, please call the FABG team at 402721-4252 or e-mail
[email protected]. • Receipts: Donors will automatically receive an e-mail receipt. If they do not receive one, you can generate and send one from your donor information page.

Transaction Issues • Donors should contact the Big Give Team at 402-721-4252 or e-mail
[email protected] for a refund. • When we CAN make a refund: • When a donor has made an error in their donation: $200 instead of $20 • If a donor made a donation to one organization that was meant for another • If a donor hits the submit button more than once resulting in duplicate donations
• When we CANNOT make a refund: • If a donor changes their minds completely about donating 10

Scheduled Gifts • Scheduled giving begins May 1 and runs through the end of the day on May 8. • Scheduled gifts will be processed on May 9th at midnight.

Offline Gifts • Checks or cash can be taken to any giving station, or a participating nonprofit • Offline gifts must be accompanied by a completed offline donation form. • Donors must include their e-mail address on the form so we can e-mail a receipt. If an e-mail is not provided, nonprofits are responsible for printing and mailing the receipt to the donor. • There will be no receipt for cash gifts under $10 16

Prizes & Leaderboard 17
Prize Structure $40,000 Bonus Pool • Sponsored by Fremont Beef Company, First State Bank & Trust Company, and Pinnacle Bank • Each nonprofit will receive a share of the pool that is proportional to the amount it raises during the day of giving.

Incentive Prizes • Prizes will be awarded for Most Unique Donors and Most Dollars Raised throughout the day. • A unique donor is one individual. Multiple donations from one donor to the same nonprofit will count as one gift. • To qualify for the Most Unique Donor prize, a nonprofit must have at least 5 unique donations during the time period for which the prize is being awarded. • Golden Tickets: Beginning at 6 p.m., one donation will be randomly selected each hour to have an additional $1,000 added to it. • Nonprofits cannot win more than one hourly prize or more than one Golden Ticket. However, they CAN win both an hourly prize AND a Golden Ticket. 19
Announcing the Winners • Prize winners will be announced on the leaderboard and on Facebook. • Announcements will also be made at the May Bros. Building

Viewing Donation Information 21
Viewing Scheduled Donations Scheduled donations can be viewed beginning May 1st under the Donation Information Tab > Scheduled Donations for Gives Day. For a report in Excel format, click the “export” button in the upper right-hand corner.

Viewing Processed Donations • Nonprofits can track donor gifts in real time on May 9th using the Donor Information > Processed Donations tab. • Run reports by using the export button. • Use donor info to thank donors throughout the day and after the event.

Thanking Donors • It is important to thank your donors • Monitor your donations in real time • Send e-mails to donors thanking them as they come in • Pick up the phone and call donors – especially ones who make large gifts • Follow up after FABG with a note/letter/phone call • Watch for “thank you” letterhead under the FAQs/Tools tab
