THE COMMUNIT Y C ANDIDATE Eric Gray is a Long Beach community leader, small business owner, and longtime resident with a legacy of leadership in the 2nd Council District. Eric first got involved in Long Beach as a volunteer for the On Broadway Business Association, mapping the empty storefronts and working with local realtors to fill them. Today he is a Board Member of Friends of Bixby Park and President of the Downtown Residential Council, where he has written grants for projects in our neighborhoods, planted trees, installed lighting, cleaned up alleyways, and worked with local artists to repaint parking meters and fire hydrants. As the community candidate with years of experience in our neighborhoods, Eric Gray has the vision we need to move Long Beach forward.

IMPROVE PARKING Eric will develop targeted parking solutions for our many neighborhoods, including new parking structures, expanding overnight parking options, and using the Alamitos Beach Parking Task Force as a model for a district-wide effort.
STRENGTHEN PUBLIC SAFETY As Councilman, Eric will work with our public safety officials to target crime in our neighborhoods, parks, and schools; increase our police and fire resources; and bolster our community policing efforts.
STIMULATE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT As a local entrepreneur and small business owner, Eric has worked to attract and retain new jobs in our city. Eric served on the Downtown Long Beach Associates Economic Development Committee and co-founded the Historic Pine Avenue (HOPA) Business Association, working with local business leaders to spark the rebirth of Pine Avenue. As Councilman, Eric will use his experience to enhance our business corridors and create the conditions for sustainable growth and middle class jobs.
