The position of Standby Deputy Returning Officers is required for Election Day. This position would pay $50.00 if you are not called, or the full rate if you are required to work. Would you be willing to be a Standby D.R.O.? [--1 Yes 1--1 No

The positions available are Deputy Returning Officer, Election Assistant and Greeter. All Election Officials are required to attend a mandatory 2 hour training session. All training sessions will be held at City Hall. Prior to selecting a position please review the job description sheet which lists the positions available and an explanation of each job function.

Municipal By-Election 2016 Job Descriptions DEPUTY RETURNING OFFICER ($190) custody and control of ballots at the voting location custody and control of Voter's List at the voting location receive certified "Appointment of Voting Proxy" forms

complete "Deputy Returning Officer Ballot Statement" form

initial all ballots before distributing custody and control of secrecy folders locate electors' names on the Voter's List ensure names of voters are crossed off the Voter's List and voting count maintained

assist in the setting up and taking down of the polling location

ELECTION ASSISTANT ($I 60) assist in the setting up and closing of the polling location direct voters to the appropriate Deputy Returning Officer demonstrate the manner in which the ballots are to be completed issue and assist voters in completing the "Application to Amend the Voters' List" form and any other forms administer oral oaths to electors

GREETER ($100) • greet electors and open doors for locations without automatic door openers • greet all electors upon their arrival and direct to appropriate area within the polling location • assist in the setting up and closing of the voting location
