CRM: quotations are made using the data from CRM (such as organization, contact person, price agreements, and opportunity). The major items from the quotation can be saved with the opportunity (such as forecast data, generated documents and so on). PDM/ERP: existing master data, such as items and prices, are almost always used. Moreover, orders from Sofon are created automatically in the ERP system, including corresponding bills of materials and routings.
