League Imrovements - Discussed how to improve summer league. One idea was to restructure the competitive league draft to have separate set of money for women. Another idea was to to try to have captains male/female combos. More emphasis should be put on spirit of the game. Another idea for social league was to have special games where you get 2 points if everyone touches the disc or if a women scores. Captains should be ranked and the lowest ranking captain each year can’t captain again next year. Social and competitive leagues could adopt players from Women’s League. Another idea was to have daycare provided at women’s league. The goal is to strive for true 4/3 leagues. Women’s league should be rebranded to attract more players. The clinics could be divided into 2 tiers for beginner and more experienced drills. We should try to get more integration with Boomslang, Alyssa would possibly be captaining this year. We should create an ombudsmen e-mail that people can use to send complaints to if they have issues and let players know about it. We could offer an incentive program such as a free disc for female rookies that sign up. We should use Social Media more to promote events. Winter - Looking for indoor space for Women to play. Deception could possibly be getting field space at the SUNY Albany Bubble and could let others use the space as well. Women’s Hat Tournament - Possibly mid may, and would include a barbaque. Clinics - Specific clinics could be taught by different experienced players on Saturdays in the Summer. One idea was to try to get Sara Jacobi. College - We should be doing more to promote our leagues and events to women’s college teams. Youth - We should be doing more to let younger ladies know about our programs. Ideas discussed were Emma Willard and the Girl Scouts.
