BUILDING DIVISION PLANNING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT MONTHLY PERMIT REPORT To Subscribers: Re: Monthly Report for the month of April 2017 The Building Division report of building activity for April 2017 is enclosed for your perusal. In April the Division issued $79.35 million in building permits. There were 584 building permits and 198 zoning verification/property reports issued. For the month, the residential component was the strongest accounting for 51.15% of the month's total and is valued at $40.58 million. Of the 397 permits in the residential category, 107 permits were issued for new single family dwellings at a total value of $26.38 million. Commercial activity accounts for 13.87% or $11.00 million with 51 permits issued. Industrial activity accounts for 3.39% or $2.69 million and the government and institutional activity accounts for 29.65% or $23.52 million.
